A day in the life of an 'almost' 3 year old.

I thought it would be fun to write out T's daily schedule and witness how God is growing this toddler into a young boy.

Our day usually starts around 7:30'ish (Tristan is still a GREAT sleeper)...
7:30-8:30- Wake up, play upstairs with Colby, play a phonics game on the Kindle, eat breakfast which always includes chocolate milk.  I have never seen a little person more in love with chocolate milk than Tristan.  As far as breakfast preferences, Tristan will eat some days and others day he won't.  When he does decide that he is hungry he likes smoothies, bananas, granola, waffles and pancakes.  He will not eat eggs, french toast, sausage, most fruits besides bananas or cinnamon roles.

8:30-9:30- Use the potty!! (YEAH) Get dressed, which he still needs help doing, practice abc's, numbers, shapes, colors, ten commandments and reading.

By around 9:30 we are all ready to get out of the house and get our day started.  Three days of the week we go to either the library, the science center, church, the zoo, the trampoline park, the aquarium or a play date with friends.  The other two days of the week Tristan and Colby come with me to the gym and participate in an awesome class called 'Mighty Mites'.  This class is a wonderful 'work-out' class for kids under the age of 6.  Tristan is learning so many things such as hula-hooping, headstands, jumping, fort building and following directions from his 'coach'.

11:30-1pm- Lunch time, watching his favorite DVD (Leapfrog's 'Building Words'), quiet play and getting ready for nap.  His lunch meals are again, hit and miss depending on his appetite for the day.  He loves 'Tristan nuggets' (just regular homemade chicken nuggets), pb&J, grilled cheese and pesto pasta.  Above all his favorite snack right now is carrots and almonds- ha ha!

1-3'ishpm- Nap time.  The kids loves his sleep.  In order to sleep well he must have his blankie, teddie, water, oso blanco, butterfly and his shark comforter.  If any of those items are missing, forget him trying to sleep.  He also loves to have books read to him before nap.

3-5pm- PLAY as much as we can, out of the house.

5-7pm-Dinner, bath time (every night), and normal end of day things.  Right now T loves eating minestrone soup, sweet potatoes and butternut squash.  I know it's a bit strange, but I'll feed the boy when he's hungry, ha ha.

7-8pm- Prayers, singing (usually a Frozen song, lol) and bed time.
